PACH Program
The PACH program is a sub program of the Heart Centre at St Paul’s Hospital (SPH). SPH offers the full complement of cardiac services for adults with Congenital Heart Disease -- cardiac tests, procedures, and surgery.

The PACH Clinic was established at Shaugnessy Hospital in response to a growing need for specialized health services for adults with congenital heart disease
1993
PACH clinic moved to St Paul’s Hospital
2004
Cardiac Obstetrics clinic established to care for women with congenital or acquired heart disease.
2008
Pulmonary hypertension clinic established
2014
Heritable Aortopathies clinic opens to provide specialist care for individuals with conditions of the aorta associated with connective tissue diseases.

Expansion on the Connective Tissue clinic from primarily patients with the diagnosis of Marfan syndrome to many other Aortopathies.

The goal is to provide information to help people who are getting ready to move (or have recently moved) to adult heart care. We use the term ‘transition’ to describe this process. (You can find a list of the ACHD programs in the ‘Welcome to Adult Care’ section of the website). Some of these programs might choose to assign User IDs so that they can track of and how patients from their own programs visit the website. They might even want to track this for research. If you have been assigned a User ID from a program, that program might ask us to give them information about your answers to the ‘Getting to Know You’ survey, how many times you log into the website and which web pages you visit.
