Where did you complete most of your training?

California State University, Sacramento – bachelor's in health education, bachelor's in nursing, masters in nursing education.

What is your special area of interest?

Pregnancy in women with CHD, the psychological and emotional toll of CHD, and patient empowerment.

What is the best thing about working in CHD?

I get to care for my peers with CHD. It’s also the newest field of medicine – we’re on the cutting edge of science.

What is one thing that you think all patients with CHD should know?

That you need life-long specialized care.

If you weren’t an advanced practice provider, what would you be?

A full-time writer.

Do you have any interesting hobbies or talents or pets?

I write (ACHA blogger), crochet, hike, and enjoy spending time with my son and husband.
