Where did you complete your training?
I did my BSN training at UBC and then obtained the critical care certificate at BCIT.

What is your special area of interest?
I love cardiology. I have worked in the Heart Centre since 2001 in various locations and love how each one teaches me more about the patient experience.

What is the best thing about working in the Congenital Heart Disease specialty?
I am new to this specialty and very excited to learn about congenital heart disease. I am really enjoying getting to know all the patients and learning more about their unique experiences.

What is one thing that you think that all patients with Congenital Heart Disease should know?
I believe everyone should know as much as possible about their unique condition and how to be the best person they can be. We are here to help you learn about your condition so you can make informed choices about your health.

If you weren’t a nurse, what would you be?
Great question! I grew up wanting to be a veterinarian but chose nursing and love my profession. I would be doing something in healthcare, possibly physiotherapy, research or medicine.

Do you have any interesting hobbies or talents or pets?
I am married with 2 kids and we love to spend time at the racetrack racing motorcycles and going camping. I enjoy my time with family, crafting, reading and being outdoors.
