Where did you complete most of your training?
I trained in Cardiology, Echocardiography and Atrial Septal Defects at the University of Calgary, AB. I completed my Internal Medicine training and Medical School at Memorial University in St. John’s NL.

What is your special area of interest?
Atrial Septal Defects, Bicuspid Atrial Valve.

What is the best thing about working in CHD?
The patients!

What is one thing that you think that all patients with CHD should know?
They can often lead normal, full and rich lives, even though they were born with heart defects. The congenital heart team will help them achieve this.

If you weren’t a doctor, what would you be?
Cake baker.

Do you have any interesting hobbies or talents or pets?
Nothing out of the ordinary – I like to stay active!
